We are presently evaluating transfers to our vendors and reviewing the associated legal basis considering the recent ruling by the Court of Justice for the European Union regarding the transfer of personal data to the USA.

7.Your Rights and Options

We aim to give you complete control over your information, and we would like to remind you of the available choices and tools you have:

Access / Update tools in the service: Through the service, you can utilize tools and account settings to access, rectify, or remove the information that you have provided to us and that is connected to your account. If you wish to receive information regarding another member, such as a copy of any messages received from them through our service, that member would need to provide written consent before the information is released. We may also require proof of their identity before addressing the request. Furthermore, we may be unable to accommodate certain requests to object to or restrict the processing of personal information, particularly if such requests would hinder our ability to provide our service to you. Therefore, there is no need for an opt-out choice.

In certain countries, such as those in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you have the right to file a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you have concerns about how we handle your personal information. Information regarding your data protection regulator in the European Economic Area can be found here, and in the United Kingdom can be found here. This includes retaining transaction data for 10 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements, keeping credit card information for the duration that the user may contest a transaction, and retaining traffic data or logs for one year to comply with legal data retention obligations. We also keep records of user consents for five years to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws.
  2. We retain limited information based on our legitimate interest. This includes keeping customer care records and supporting data, as well as imprecise location information related to downloads/purchases, for five years to support our customer care decisions, protect our rights, and defend ourselves in the event of a claim. We retain information about past accounts and subscriptions for three years after the closure of your last account to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting. Profile data is retained for one year in anticipation of potential litigation, as well as for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Additionally, we retain data necessary to prevent banned members from creating new accounts for as long as necessary to ensure the safety and vital interests of our members.
  3. Lastly, we retain information based on our legitimate interest when there is an outstanding or potential issue, claim, or dispute that requires us to keep such information. This may include situations where we receive a valid legal subpoena or request to preserve data, in which case we must retain the data to comply with our legal obligations, or if the data is otherwise necessary for legal proceedings.
